Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) is set to host a webinar today (Thursday, February 11, 2021) to explore the economic situation of Brazil and the Arab world in terms of the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccine implementation.

The virtual event will present ABCC’s 2021 calendar of activities and feature Ronaldo Lemos, a Brazilian expert in technology and innovation, and Bahrain Economic Development Board’s (EDB) chief economist Jarmo Kotilaine. There will be a series of presentations and panel discussions on technological innovations, as well as an overview of the current market and strategies to boost the economic sector of Brazil and the Arab countries.

Commenting on the webinar, Rubens Hannun, President of Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, said: “Amidst global health challenges that continue to threaten the global economy to take off, we continue to engage the Brazilian and Arab business community in strategic meetings using virtual platforms. This has been an effective format which us helped keep the ball rolling last year and maintain our connections.”

While COVID-19 has disrupted every element of global business, it has also demonstrated the role of technology in the current situation. The upcoming webinar will navigate a broad range of themes that are central to this journey, to take a deep dive into the new economic situation in Brazil and Arab countries.
