Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry today unveiled RAK Road Riders 2018, a debut bike expo and show mixing business with adventure and leisure as part of the Year of Zayed celebrations.
Announcing the details of RAK Road Riders 2018 at a press conference, senior officials of RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry said this is the first time such an exclusive bike-focused event mixing business with adventure and leisure has been held in the UAE.
“RAK Road Riders 2018 is a four-day event which combines business and the passion for bikes in a unique blend so much so that there is something for everyone, including the general public,” said HE Mohamed Ali Musabbeh Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
He said that Ras Al Khaimah, under the leadership of HH Sheikh Saud has been working to enhance the emirate’s economy through economic diversification in the fields of international exhibition industry and event organization, trade and tourism through the launch of projects and the development of infrastructure energizing the business and adding value to the attractions of the emirate.
Al-Nuaimi added that the role of the Chamber is one of the most important roles as an effective economic entity because of the scope of its work in terms of universality and large size, since its role is not limited to the role of service, but in empowerment as a key engine in driving the economy and its growth.
Mohammed Hassan Alsabab, Acting Director General of Ras Al Khaimah Chamber, said that organizing the 2018 RAK Motorcycle Festival is a step in the Chamber’s direction in organizing a series of events that enhance the economic and tourism fundamentals of Ras Al Khaimah.
The event will have four main attractions – a Custom Bike Show, internationally acclaimed Stunt Master’s Cup, a Retail Business Expo and The Ride which is expected to be a scintillating finale with over 500 bikers from across the world taking part.
“The Ride with the theme of `Zayed in our Hearts’ will mark the finale of RAK Road Riders 2018, with local and international riders taking to a charted route through the heart of the emirate to Jabal Al Jais, the highest mountain range in the UAE,” he said.
Apart from these, the event will also have entertainment activities for families, a kid’s zone and a bike auction.
He said the response to RAK Road Riders 2018 has been enthusiastic across its categories. The event’s business expo segment will have an array of bike retailers showcasing the latest machines and accessories. The business expo will also have participation from custom bike shops as well as workshops.
“It is the first time the world famous Stunt Master’s Cup is coming to Ras Al Khaimah and the event will have over 30 local and international participants. The Custom Bike Show will be an opportunity for local bike enthusiasts to display their creativity,” he said, adding that event will also complement the reputation of RAK as a world famous tourist destination.
He also added that RAK Road Riders 2018 which is being organized in cooperation with the specialist events and conferences company, Events Lab, will also have a professional motorcycle show which will be held in the presence of representatives from the Guinness book of World Records.
The festival offers modified motorcycles and the latest international models with more than 40 exhibitors from international companies such as Harley Davidson, as well as motorbike competitions subject to the assessment of local and international referees. Motorcycles and accessories that enable motorcycle enthusiasts to learn about the latest local and international trends, in addition to the participation of motorcycle experts and workshop owners specialized in the maintenance and modification of motorcycles,
