The head-to-head discussion format will be broadcast via YouTube and on the ActivTrades website and social media, anchored around insightful analysis from; Mr. Ashraf Laidi, Economic Expert and Mr. Georges Batrouni, ActivTrades’ Middle East Manager. This news follows the recent opening of its first regional office based in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and is designed to deepen relationships and encourage knowledge sharing amongst the Middle Eastern financial community.
ActivTrades specializes in providing clients leading services for online trading on foreign Exchange (Forex) and Contracts for Difference (CFDs), and the new platform underlines its commitment to its client base across the UAE and wider GCC region. Inspiration from the discussion channel concept comes from the fact that Traders operate on large amounts of data and credible market insights to make calculated and sensitive market positions, and that this deep knowledge can furnish clients with the tools they need to have more confident and judgement around their financial activity.

ActiveTrades selected a renowned figure in the trading industry to co-host the weekly discussion, and has selected Ashraf Laidi, one of the most highly experienced, independent strategists and traders in the region. He is also founder of Intermarket Strategy Ltd and author of financial publications including Currency Trading & Intermarket Analysis and formerly chief global strategist at City Index / FX Solutions, where he focused on foreign exchange and global macro developments pertaining to central bank policies, sovereign debt and intermarket dynamics in the world.
