The critical importance of multi-cloud and other network security technologies in today’s high-risk cyber environment was highlighted at a symposium held by global IT and networking leader Cisco and Almoayyed Computers, the flagship company of Almoayyed International Group. Cisco MEA CTO, Osama Al Zoubi, was the key speaker at the event delivering “Powering a Multi Cloud World” session.
“As the world becomes more tech-savvy, businesses need to keep pace to ensure that their products and services are as safe as possible, and that means second-best security is no longer an option,” said Mr. Al Zoubi. “This is why having multiple clouds is rapidly becoming the next big thing. This software simplifies a complicated process by bringing together networking, security, analytics, and management across business environments to help better connect, protect, and consume clouds in a multi cloud world.”
Several Cisco specialists and consultants delivered presentations at the event, held at the Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain, which highlighted the uses of the Cisco Multi Cloud Portfolio, and the advantages that multi-cloud software offers businesses. In attendance were representatives from the government, banking, telecommunications, and education sectors.
Almoayyed Computers CEO S. M. Hussaini said: “We believe that businesses in Bahrain can benefit a lot from implementing this kind of software. Cybersecurity will only grow in importance over the following years, and to invest in it now means having the proper infrastructure to build on as we go forward and face more complex challenges. This is the right time to embrace multi cloud solutions.”
He added: “In addition to enhanced security, multi cloud software also bolsters innovation levels for businesses, because it helps them reduce dependence on a single vendor and roll out services at a rapid pace. Multi cloud software is a necessary component if we are to encourage innovation culture within Bahrain businesses.”
Other speakers at the event included Cisco Consulting System Engineer, Ajaz Shahid; Cisco Sales Specialist, Osama Hamed; Cisco Systems Engineer, Saeed Awwad; Cisco Cyber Security Consulting System Engineer, Ayed Al Qartah; and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Principle Architect, Paul Maddox.
