In an implementation of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, announced the UAE will implement its first multi-entry visa during the first cabinet meeting of 2020, which aims at strengthening Dubai’s position as a global investment hub and attract a wider tourism audience.
This new visa would allow tourists multiple entries into the country over five years, as presently tourists can visit the UAE with a free multiple entry visa for up to 90 days, from the date of entry. The visa will be introduced within the next four months, will establish the UAE as a major global tourism destination. The move is expected to provide a boost to the tourism industry and make it easier for residents to bring relatives to the country for visits.
Sharing his thoughts on UAEs new multi-entry five year tourist visas, Muhammad BinGhatti, CEO and Head of Architecture at Binghatti Developers said: "This is extremely positive and welcoming news from the Government of UAE, allowing tourists to have the option of travelling to the UAE in ease, many established Food & Beverage restaurants will see an increase in footfall within their restaurants, within the Real Estate sector we will see an increase in home-buyers, and tenants as they will see Dubai as a place to settle their home base, families will be encouraged to call their extended families to visit more frequently”
