The World LPG Association (WLPGA) announced e-LPG Week; the single most important LPG focused event that brings the entire value chain of the LPG industry together. The event will be held virtually from November 2 to 6 to adhere to the safety and security measures announced by the UAE health authorities.

Themed ‘Bringing Energy to Life’, e-LPG Week aims to rally the LPG industry through interactive sessions and events, online networking, and a unique virtual showcase of LPG companies.

Hosted by ENOC Group, e-LPG Week will touch upon many industry opportunities and challenges; including advocacy in a post COVID-19 world, emerging global Autogas markets, opportunities for LPG to displace higher carbon alternatives in major demand sectors, digital innovation and diversity, and innovation and developments in using LPG to achieve the social and economic development targets laid out in the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically the targets in areas of poverty, hunger, health, climate change, gender equality and energy access.

According to James Rockall, CEO & Managing Director of the World LPG Association “LPG Week, incorporating the annual World LPG Forum, is the premier gathering of the world’s LPG sector. That we are holding the event online this year as e-LPG Week brings unique and unprecedented opportunity for the global LPG sector to debate, discuss and do business more deeply and more widely than ever before”

The event will feature unrivalled content from industry leaders and global influencers including Fatih Birol, Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA), and Dymphna van der Lans, Chief Executive Officer of the Clean Cooking Alliance. It will include a gamut of activities such as dedicated live sessions, dynamic workshops, interactive virtual hospitality suites and knowledge exchange discussions, all underpinned by extended global participation.

His Excellency Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Group CEO, ENOC Group, said: “At ENOC, we share WLPGA’s vision for an LPG industry built around collaboration and sharing of best practices and are pleased to host this year’s first e-LPG Week.

The efforts put forward by the WLPGA are widely recognised, in fact; it has become an important authoritative voice for the LPG industry. Efforts to introduce platforms that gather industry experts to discuss trends, voice concerns and shed light on future projections in LPG will continue to open doors for us to showcase new technologies and formulate policies, and offer us an opportunity to network and share best practices.” He added.

Energy professionals and participants can access the virtual event from anywhere, reducing the travel costs and associated safety concerns. The event will be hosted on an interactive digital platform with cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence technology to enhance the networking experience and create long-lasting relationships, along with recorded high-level sessions allowing delegates to participate in polls, Q&A sessions and chat boards.
